You can travel to these 4 tourist places in one day: Li Garden, Diaolou Cluster in Zili Village, Majianglong Village, Diaolou Cluster in Jianjiangli Village, and the historic Town of Chikan.
Get off at Kengkou Metro Station, Exit B; after crossing the bridge you will reach the Fangcun Passenger Station.
This 58 Yuan bus ticket shows departure at 08:50 with 11:00 arrival at Yici Bus Station.
Choose any seat you want when there are not many passengers on the bus. Many times, bus from Guangzhou to Kaiping will take about 2 hours, but sometimes there may be traffic jams on the highway.
At 11:15 this bus arrived at Kaiping Bus station, it was delayed by slow traffic.
The last bus from Kaiping to Guangzhou Fangcun Passenger Station is at 19:25; you can change the time of your ticket if you come back to the Bus Station early.
From Kaiping Yici Bus Station to Guangzhou, you can choose 1 of the bus stations closest your hotel: Guangzhou Fangcun Bus Station, Tianhe Coach Terminal Station, Guangzhou Liuhua Bus Station, Guangzhou Jiaokou Bus Station , or Panyu Coach Terminal Station.
Take No 617 minibus to Li Garden at the Yici Bus Station. Ticket Price is 5 Yuan. The driver will ask where you going; you just say: “Li Yuan Lu Kou (Chinese)”, because different places have different ticket prices.
After 30 minutes, get off at Li Yuan Lu Kou; ‘Yuan’ means Garden in Chinese.
After you get off, you will see the sign for Li Garden
At the same time, you will see a sign for Zili Village, about 3 KM from Li Yuan Lu Kou. It will be about 30 minutes walking from Li Garden to Zili Village.
About 5-8 minutes walking to Li Garden from the Li Yuan Lu Kou Bus Stop.
Li Garden Entrance
Package Ticket 180 Yuan includes Li Garden, Diaolou Cluster in Zili Village, Majianglong Village, and Diaolou Cluster in Jianjiangli Village. (I suggest the Package Ticket’s price is more reasonable because the Zili Village ticket is 80 Yuan and the Li Garden ticket is 100, only 2 places for 180 Yuan, so the Package Ticket is better.) You can take free shuttle buses to each place when you have the Package Ticket.

The Shuttle Bus stops on the right side of the Li Garden Gate, and the bus comes here at every hour on the hour: 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm. The shuttle bus goes to the Li Garden, Diaolou Cluster in Zili Village, Majianglong Village, Diaolou Cluster in Jianjiangli Village, and the historic Town of Chikan.
Bus Route: Li Garden is close to the Zili Village. If you miss the shuttle bus and don’t want to wait a long time, maybe walking is a good choice.Diaolou is a farming area so you may see more interesting things. There are no taxis outside of Li Garden.
Yellow Shuttle Bus
After about 5 minutes on the bus from Li Garden, get off at Zili Village.
Before 17:00, you have to wait outside of the shuttle bus stop if you want to take a bus, you have to get off at the second stop, Zili Cun Lu Kou, then transfer to No 617 Bus to the Yici Bus Station. (‘Cun’ is means Village in Chinese.)
Shuttle Bus Route
Get off at Zili Cun Lu Kou and you will see some people waiting for the bus. You may need to wait 10-20 minutes. There are no taxi outside Zili Village, but you can hire a private car outside Zili Village to the Yici Bus Station ,for about 100 Yuan (about 15 minutes to drive to the Yici Bus Station).
It’s busy on the minibus because a lot of tourist need to take a bus back to city center or the Yici Bus station. (Minibus only has 18 seats.)
After 30 minutes you will arrive at Yichi Bus Station.

After about 100 minutes, the bus arrives at the Fangcun Bus Station. Evening should be faster than the day time. At Fangcun Bus Station, you can take a metro or taxi back to your hotel.
Some suggestion:
If you want to visit one more scenic spot at Kaiping, you have to make plans before you come.
First scenic spot is the historic Town of Chikan; you can take No 6 Bus at Yichi Bus Station, and take the free shuttle bus to Li Garden, then from Li Garden to Diaolou Cluster in Zili Village.
If you want to see all scenic spots, you have to arrive at Yici Bus Station before 9:30 am, which mean that you have to take the first bus (07:20 am) from Fangcun Passenger Station or Tianhe Coach Terminal Station. Then you take a taxi to the historic Town of Chikan from Yici Bus Station. It should take 20 minutes and cost about 60-80 Yuan. You can take free shuttle bus to each scenic spot; they are close to each other, about 5-10 minutes. The shuttle bus runs every hour on the hour.
If you just want to visit 2 scenic spot in Kaiping, Li Garden and Diaolou Cluster in Zili Village will be good choices.
Kaiping Diaolou is much better than 3 years ago, because the brand new shuttle bus can reach each place. But there still are no taxis outside the scenic spots.

Thanks for your excellent guide to Kiaping dialou. We followed your instructions and hab only one minor problem. The local busses in Kaiping now have a 6 before each bus number. So the 17 bus is in fact the 617 and the location from which it leaves is marked as 617. Thanks again. Paul. Brisbane Australia.

when we were arrived in Yici terminal bus it was 12h30 so we have taken a taxi for 300 rmb to visit these two places ( a little bit expensive but it was great)

You can take a CTS bus from Hk to Kaiping , get off at Pantower International Hotel (5 star) or Garden Hotel , I think Garden Hotel is a bit close to the Kaiping Diaolou,like the LI Garden , You can taxi from your hotel to the Li Garden . or you can ask hotel help you .
You can take a bus at Yici Bus station to Zhuhai , you just said you wan tto go to Gongbei Port, 拱北口岸, if you want to know more information,I think you can ask the local hotel .
take ferry from Macau to HK . easy to do that . or maybe you can take a bus from Macau to Hong Kong on October.

I have an enquiry and hope you can help. Regarding the bus back to Yici Bus Station, is the bus stop there easy to locate ? Will it be directly opposite the arrival bus stop or some distance away from it? I realised that the Zili Cun bus stop picture (green colour board) doesn't have any bus number indicate there as well, is there any sign for us to know that that bus stop is for bus 167 going back to Yici Bus Station?
Lastly, are there only 1 entrance and exit for the 2 locations (Li Garden,zili village)? If there are more than one, how do we identify that the exit will be the one to the 167 bus stop?

Yici Bus Station is easy to locate, direct bus from Guangzhou Fangcun Station to Yici Bus .
Bus no 617 to Li Garden , then you can take free shuttle bus to Zili Cun ,that is a pity , there not NO 617 bus to yichi bus station ,

Yes,only 1 entrance of Li Garden ,and 1 entance of Zili Cun , Li Garden and Zili cun are 2 different place, it is about 10-15 minutes bus from Li Garden to Zili Cun , that why I said not direct bus at Zili Cun (village)

that last bust from Guangzhou Fangcun Coach station to Kaipaing is 19:50 , but make sure you can have a seat ,maybe you’d better choose 18:40 is better.
The last bus at Tian Coach station to Kaiping Yici is 19:30 , Ticket Price is 65 Yuan
